Felt : The Versatile Design Solution

Wool felt is a fabric produced without spinning, weaving, needling or knitting. By using mechanical action to interlock fibers by a suitable combination of a mechanical work, chemical action and heat to produce a homogenous mass of interlaced fibers. Wool fibers will migrate alongwith their axes, curl and interlace with adjacent fibers from a traditional wool felt. Other fibers can be blended with the wool fibers when characteristics are required which are not obtainable to wool along, but it is the wool in the blend, which must supply the felting ability.
